Paul's journey with the piano began with a simple yet profound discovery: music’s incredible power to communicate and manage emotions. Immigrating from South Korea to America at the age of 12, Paul blended the rich musical influences of both cultures to create a sound that’suniquely his own.
With the rare talent of playing by ear, Paul has an intuitive way of translating imagined melodies into beautiful, flowing piano pieces. Whether it’s the peaceful aesthetic of a Studio Ghibli theme or the complex chords of a jazz standard, his music creates an atmosphere that helps audiences find emotional balance and joy.
From playing in weddings and corporate events to birthday parties and intimate café performances, Paul’s favorite part of performing is seeing people connect with his music. With a keen sense of the room’s energy, he aligns his playing with client requests to create the ideal atmosphere for every occasion.
Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from West Virginia University (2019), where he refined his jazz-infused chord playing and deepened his understanding of improvisation. He is currently pursuing a degree in Music Therapy at Sam Houston State University, where he is learning to tailor his music to the emotional needs of others. This skill translates into his live performances, allowing him to read the room and create unforgettable musical experiences.
